It was slow going this morning. It took a lot longer then I thought it would to pack everything up. Then just as I was getting ready to leave i realized my GPS power cable wasn't working. I tried to troubleshot it but could not find the problem. So i just took it off the bike and ended up buying a new 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter a few hours later. It was working perfectly the past few weeks, but apparently the first day of my trip was when it decided to die.Besides slightly over packing and the GPS problem the rest of the day was kind of a bore. I made it all the way to Burlington Iowa. The highlight was finally setting up camp for the night and testing out my new camping gear. Everything worked great and i stayed toasty warm despite the temperature dropping to the 40's at night.
